For the first time ever, nations have come together and agreed to protect 30% of Earth's nature by 2030!

If you can't tell through reading, I'm extremely, extremely excited about this.

It took two weeks of grueling negotiations at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15), but this is truly monumental. I get emotional thinking about the destruction that humans have caused to our home. Yet this is the most progressive action we've ever taken to protect the rest of it.

Ecosystems like rainforests and wetlands will be preserved, the rights of indigenous people prioritized, and biodiversity will be safeguarded.
